Part 2: How Do We Work Together?

Ok, now we have established WHO should attend or host a retreat. You have made your decision that yes, that person is you! What happens next? How do we work together?

One thing we love almost as much as planning is a good process. So we have one we put in place to help the retreat planning process feel seamless.

If you are hosting a retreat for your business or committee, you might want to be more involved in the planning process (or you might want nothing to do with it), either way, we make sure all of the bases are covered so you can show up on the day(s) of your retreat with every detail in place.

Here is how our process works:

Most people come to us with some idea of what they would like their retreat to look like, but they aren’t sure of the cost. Much of the cost will come from your venue. If you’re looking for something higher end, or if you are looking to have a large venue with a few people - your per person costs will be higher. This is something we will build out and define for you during phase two.

You may also be wondering what your role is in the retreat planning process. Here are a few ways we might need your input along the way (but don’t worry, we guide you through every step of the way):

  • Defining retreat goals and the outcome you’d like your guests to feel when they leave

  • Inviting guests/friends/coworkers to sign-up for or attend the retreat

  • Providing budget guidelines (we can help further define this)

  • Communication with your guests

  • Payment for the retreat is between whomever signs the contract, and Balanced Roots Retreats. If you are asking for your guests to pay for the retreat, you will need to collect payment from them

  • Meeting at least 2 times throughout the production phase for check-ins

We have two goals during this process:

  1. Make it as seamless and easy as possible

  2. Make sure you have all of the details you need to execute a successful retreat OR make sure you are aware of all of the details and have us there on-site to do it all for you.

Now you know WHO should host/attend a retreat, and HOW it works to host a retreat. Stay tuned for part three of our three-part blog series when we answer your question of, “do you have a retreat venue?”
